Save Youth Save Future Foundation organized an awareness programme titled “Mulakaat Samkhun Teh Bedaar Gasun” at the Pulwama Town Hall, focusing on two of the most pressing challenges confronting contemporary youth, substance abuse and the growing menace of misinformation.
The programme was addressed by Mr. Jasib Shabir, District Coordinator Pulwama, along with District Coordinators from other districts, including Mr. Shabir Ahmed Sheikh (Budgam), Mr. Rasik Ahmed Sheikh (Shopian), and Mr. Amir Rashid Sheikh (Srinagar). The speakers offered in-depth insights into the systematic and long-term consequences of drug abuse, as well as the deliberate spread of misinformation, particularly through digital and social media platforms. They highlighted how these challenges impair judgment, erode moral values, and hinder the social and intellectual development of young individuals.
Special emphasis was placed on the importance of critical thinking, media literacy, and responsible digital engagement as essential tools for youth to navigate the modern information landscape and make informed decisions.
An interactive session followed, during which participants raised pertinent questions related to addiction, misinformation, and the constructive role of youth in safeguarding society. The discussion enabled meaningful dialogue and offered practical perspectives for addressing these challenges at both individual and community levels.
The programme concluded with a collective resolve to promote awareness, responsibility, and civic consciousness, reaffirming Save Youth Save Future Foundation’s unwavering commitment to nurturing an informed, resilient, and drug-free youth community.
