SYSF Engages with Families Affected by Terrorism in Kupwara
Kupwara – 13 November 2025 – The Save Youth Save Future Foundation (SYSF), under the leadership of Wajahat Farooq Bhat, Chairman of SYSF, and along with Ms. Anika Nazir, President of the Women’s Wing, conducted an extensive field visit in Kupwara to engage with families affected by terrorism.
During the visit, SYSF held dialogues with survivors of terrorism, including men, women, and children, who have lost family members due to acts of terrorism. The engagement focused on understanding the intersections of trauma, recovery, and resilience, while assessing the socioeconomic challenges faced by affected households.
Ms. Anika Nazir commended the courage and determination of these families, describing them as bearers of collective memory and agents of social transformation. “Their endurance and lived experiences are central to shaping the path of peace, justice, and inclusive reconstruction in Kupwara,” she said.
Wajahat Farooq Bhat, Chairman of SYSF, expressed his deep solidarity with the affected families, stating, “These families have endured unimaginable loss, yet their resilience is an inspiration for all. SYSF remains committed to supporting them in every possible way and ensuring their voices are heard in shaping a peaceful and inclusive Kupwara.”
