Nayi Subah – Nasha Se Azadi, Zindagi Ke Saath | 5th Event Held at GDC Rajpora

Save Youth Save Future continued its impactful mission under the “Nayi Subah – Nasha Se Azadi, Zindagi Ke Saath” campaign by organizing its 4th Drug Awareness Event at Government Degree College Rajpora, in collaboration with the District Administration Pulwama and the Social Welfare Department Pulwama.

The event aimed to spread awareness among youth about the menace of drug addiction and the collective responsibility of society in eradicating it.

It was an honour to have SI Sahil Verma as the Chief Guest, who shared valuable insights on the role of police in tackling the drug menace and the ongoing efforts of law enforcement in curbing this growing challenge.

Distinguished speakers from the Health Department, Sports Department, Social Welfare Department, and the Principal of GDC Rajpora also addressed the gathering, highlighting the multi-dimensional impact of drugs on health, education, and society.

Jasib Shabir, District Coordinator Pulwama (Save Youth Save Future), delivered the welcome address, emphasizing the organization’s vision of a drug-free Pulwama. Dr. Irshad Ahmad Bhat, research Scholar, discussed the link between cross-border terrorism and drug trafficking, shedding light on how drugs are used as a weapon to weaken youth.

A powerful rap performance by Rasik (MC Raa) added a creative touch to the program, engaging students emotionally and intellectually in the cause.

The event also featured an interactive Q&A session, where students asked thought-provoking questions to officials from the Police and Health Departments, making the session more engaging and impactful.

A student voting activity was conducted to form a dedicated anti-drug team within the college, responsible for reporting monthly updates on campus-related social issues — including drugs and harassment — to the District Administration. This initiative also helped promote voting awareness among students.

The event concluded with a collective pledge for a drug-free Pulwama, reaffirming the commitment of youth, administration, and society to continue spreading awareness and working hand-in-hand under the Nayi Subah – Nasha Se Azadi, Zindagi Ke Saath campaign.

Save Youth Save Future Foundation once again proved that youth-driven initiatives, when supported by the administration and institutions, can truly lead to a brighter, drug-free tomorrow.
