Save Youth Save Future (SYSF), in collaboration with the District Administration Pulwama and the Department of Social Welfare, successfully organized a mega awareness programme titled “Nayi Subah – Nashay Se Azadi, Zindagi Ke Saath” at KCEF Law College, Pulwama.
This initiative represents not merely an event but a mission dedicated to creating a drug-free Pulwama. Under this campaign, the SYSF Foundation team aims to reach more than fifty schools, colleges, and coaching institutes across the district to sensitize the youth about the harmful effects of drug abuse and to encourage their active participation in prevention efforts.
A major highlight of the programme was the Youth Voting Activity, aimed at promoting civic responsibility and awareness. The winners of this activity will remain in contact with the District Administration and will submit monthly reports concerning drug abuse and other social issues prevalent in their localities.

A special segment of the event featured a panel discussion among scholars and educationists, who shared their perspectives on the psychological, social, and educational dimensions of drug addiction. They emphasized the urgent need to integrate value-based education, parental guidance, and institutional support to prevent substance abuse among students and youth. The discussion also focused on the moral and societal responsibilities of teachers, religious leaders, and community organizations in shaping a drug-free generation.
Adding a creative dimension, professional artist Rasik, popularly known as MC Raa, delivered a powerful musical performance that deeply resonated with the audience, spreading the message of hope, resilience, and determination against drug abuse.
An interactive question and answer session followed, during which Superintendent of Police Pulwama Mr. Shafat Najar and Ms. Anika Nazir engaged with young participants, addressing their questions and sharing valuable insights.
Two youth representatives were also selected to work in coordination with the District Administration and submit monthly progress reports on drug abuse prevention and other social issues within their communities.
