Baramulla, April 3, 2024 – The Save Youth Save Future Foundation took a major step toward educational empowerment today with the launch of its Modern and Skills Education Program at Daruloom Qurashia, Sheeri, Baramulla. This transformative initiative, generously sponsored by ONGC (Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited), aims to redefine educational opportunities by equipping youth—particularly students of Madrasas—with modern skills and knowledge essential for a dynamic future.

The inauguration ceremony was graced by several key dignitaries, including Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Mr. Minga Sherpa [IAS], Chairman of Save Youth Save Future Foundation, Mr. Wajahat Farooq Bhat, President of Daruloom Qurashia, Mr. Farooq Ahmad, and Zonal Education Officer, Mr. Ashiq Hussain Kar. At the heart of this program is the establishment of state-of-the-art learning facilities, including:

A modern Computer Lab with cutting-edge technology

A well-stocked Library to nurture reading and research habits

A Skill Development Centre focused on practical competencies

An Auditorium Hall to host interactive learning sessions and community engagement activities

These facilities, developed and provided by the Save Youth Save Future Foundation, reflect a deep commitment to holistic education that integrates traditional values with modern expertise.

In his keynote address, Deputy Commissioner Mr. Minga Sherpa emphasized the importance of combining modern education with religious teachings, viewing them as complementary rather than contradictory. He reaffirmed the administration’s dedication to supporting inclusive educational development and applauded the Foundation’s ongoing efforts in empowering youth.

Mr. Wajahat Farooq Bhat, Chairman of Save Youth Save Future Foundation, spoke on the need to bridge the gap between traditional Madrasa education and contemporary skills training. He underscored the role of modern education in enabling youth—including Madrasa students—to thrive in competitive, global environments, and to contribute meaningfully to their communities.

The administration of Daruloom Qurashia Sheeri expressed heartfelt gratitude to all contributors and stakeholders. They hailed the initiative as a milestone in educational innovation and a beacon of hope for the students of Kashmir.

This program represents a visionary leap toward creating an education system that is inclusive, future-oriented, and rooted in cultural and spiritual values—laying the foundation for a more skilled, informed, and empowered generation.
