"Save Youth Save Future" Foundation Hosts Seminar "Yakeen – Believe in Her"
Baramulla, Jammu and Kashmir, March 21, 2024 – On March 21, 2024, the Save Youth Save Future Foundation, in collaboration with the District Legal Services Authority Baramulla, hosted a landmark seminar titled "Yakeen – Believe in Her" at Dak Bungalow, Baramulla. The event was graced by the presence of the Hon’ble Chief Justice of the High Court of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, Justice N. Kotiswar Singh, alongside other distinguished guests including Chairman of District Legal Services Authority Baramulla, Mr. Mohammad Ashraf Malik, Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Mr. Minga Sherpa, Principal Secretary to the Hon’ble Chief Justice, Mr. M.K. Sharma, Superintendent of Police Baramulla, Mr. Feroz Yehya, and Mr. Wajahat Farooq Bhat, Chairman of Save Youth Save Future Foundation, among others.
The seminar stood as a beacon of empowerment, sparking enlightening discussions and thought-provoking insights. A significant turnout, including a large presence of women, underscored a collective commitment to gender inclusivity and empowerment.
Ms. Anika Nazir, Women’s Wing Head of Save Youth Save Future, welcomed the attendees and highlighted the significance of the seminar, ensuring its smooth conduct.
During the proceedings, various speakers addressed vital issues surrounding women’s empowerment, societal challenges, and the roles of education and media in promoting gender equality. The speakers included Mr. Mohammad Ashraf Malik, Mr. Minga Sherpa, President of Bar Association Baramulla, Advocate Neelofar Masood, Senior Journalist Mr. Karamat Qayoom, Advocate Sibtain Geelani, Ms. Bushra Bedaar, Advocate G.N. Ahsan, and Advocate Insha Zargar.
In his keynote address, Justice N. Kotiswar Singh highlighted the cultural significance of Nowruz in Kashmir and acknowledged the region's rich history and resilience in the face of adversity. He emphasized the importance of development across sectors, addressing domestic violence and drug abuse, and increasing awareness of legal rights and societal responsibilities.
The seminar concluded with a felicitation ceremony honoring outstanding female achievers from Baramulla for their contributions across various fields.
In his closing remarks, Mr. Wajahat Farooq Bhat, Chairman of Save Youth Save Future, extended heartfelt thanks to all dignitaries, speakers, and attendees, reaffirming the Foundation's unwavering dedication to the cause of empowerment and social upliftment.
