The Save Youth Save Future Foundation (SYSF) marked another impactful milestone in its journey of community empowerment by organizing the “Mulakaat: Saamkunn te Bedar Gasun” seminar at the Auditorium Hall, Fatehgarh Sheeri, Baramulla. The event, held on February 26, 2024, served as a vibrant platform for dialogue and awareness, focusing on youth empowerment, education, legal rights, and government initiatives.
The program commenced with Tilawati Kalam and Naat-e-Shareef, setting a serene and reflective tone. This spiritual beginning underscored the deeper mission of the foundation: to connect social upliftment with cultural and spiritual grounding.
Mr. Wajahat Farooq Bhat, Chairman of SYSF, formally opened the proceedings with an introduction to the Foundation’s mission and the importance of the “Mulakaat” initiative. He emphasized the need for continuous community engagement to foster awareness and progress.
Dr. Ahmed outlined various government schemes offered through the Animal Husbandry Department, highlighting livelihood opportunities for unemployed youth and the economic potential of livestock farming in rural Kashmir.
Mr. Kaiser shared deep insights into juvenile justice laws and the rehabilitative approach under the ICPS. He elaborated on legal protections for minors and the support systems available through government schemes.
Addressing the role of the media, Mr. Imran emphasized the power of journalism in social change, advocating for responsible reporting and encouraging journalists to become vehicles for community awareness and development.
Principal Ahmed focused on the role of the education sector in enlightening youth about their rights and opportunities, stressing the importance of integrating government initiatives into school awareness programs.
Mr. Kar provided a detailed overview of the Right to Education Act within the framework of the National Education Policy 2020, outlining key reforms and emphasizing the state’s commitment to universal, quality education.
An open-floor Q&A session encouraged the local community—particularly women and youth—to engage with the panelists. This interactive segment proved highly insightful, reflecting the eagerness of the public to better understand the systems and services available to them.
The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Mr. Wajahat Farooq Bhat, who acknowledged the contributions of all speakers, dignitaries, volunteers, and attendees. He reiterated SYSF’s unwavering commitment to creating platforms for dialogue, empowerment, and grassroots transformation.
