Baramulla, 18 June 2023 — The grand final of the Cricket Championship "Summer Cup First Edition" was held at Heevan Sheeri Baramulla, organized by the Heevan Cricket Forum. The event was a tremendous success, attracting a large crowd of passionate cricket enthusiasts and community supporters.
Chairman of the Save Youth Save Future (SYSF) Foundation, Mr. Wajahat Farooq Bhat, generously contributed ₹10,000 to the Heevan Cricket Forum to support its grassroots initiatives in promoting cricket. This donation comes in addition to his earlier contribution of a cricket mat and roller last year, which has greatly enhanced the quality of the cricket pitch and provided players with a superior playing experience.
The event was also honored by the presence of Mir Iqbal, BDC Chairman of Narvaw, who donated a cricket mat to the Heevan Cricket Forum. Other distinguished guests included renowned teacher Reyaz Ahmed Ganaie, Sub Inspector of Sheeri Police Station, Sarpanch Heevan Farooq Ahmed, SI Sheeri Police Station Shri Farooq Ahmed, local PRI member Zia Ul Islam, and several community leaders who joined in celebrating the occasion.
