Moulvi Aijaz Noori

The event commenced with the recitation of Naat by Moulvi Aijaz Noori. He spoke on the concept of mutual co-existence and elaborated on the need to advance peaceful co-existence to enhance productive, meaningful lives and build sustainable societies.

He further emphasized how Islam strongly promotes unity among various religious groups and highlighted other significant messages propagated by Islam. He strongly denounced violence, hatred, and discrimination against minorities, stating that Islam clearly advocates fraternity among different religions.

Mr. Zia Ul Islam

Mr. Zia Ul Islam shared insights into his transformation journey from a former stone pelter to a social activist. He recounted how his dreams felt shattered during his time in jail and how, after his release, he contested elections at the Panchayati level, striving to change himself and make a meaningful contribution to society.

He concluded by urging everyone to raise their grievances through dialogue and peaceful means rather than resorting to violence.

Mr. Wajahat Farooq Bhat – Chairman, SYSF

In his concluding remarks, Mr. Wajahat Farooq Bhat explained how Islam has long embodied the values practiced in modern societies, especially regarding women’s rights and social justice.

He noted how Islam abolished many ill-practices against women in the 7th century, and how progressive reforms have continued since then. He emphasized the importance of providing both religious and secular education, encouraging people to protect children from anti-national ideologies and extremist influences.

He also spoke about the hazardous consequences of misinformation, and how such content can negatively affect individuals and society. He urged everyone to stay informed and vigilant about their sources of information.
