Today we, "Save Youth Save Future" Foundation, organized another seminar, "Youth Parliament," at Govt. Women's College Baramulla.
The program was created on the lines of how enhancement can be brought into the educational system across Kashmir. The guests of the program included Mr. Tousif Raina, President of the Municipal Council Baramulla, who spoke about being responsible citizens and fulfilling our duties towards society. He stressed the promotion of co-curricular activities across the institutions of Kashmir and also guided the youngsters to live a stress-free life and make good decisions.
Er. Mehraj Malik spoke about the available career opportunities across the world in different sectors and how we can upskill ourselves to get those career options and build a bright future for ourselves. He also spoke on how social media influences our daily lives, the different pros and cons of social media, and then guided the youngsters to utilize social media in a productive manner so that they could get the maximum out of it. He also spoke about how deliberate misinformation through the negative elements of society is ruining our mental state of mind, and that is why it is extremely important to choose the best things, especially those related to our studies or creativity, on social media.
Ms. Anika Nazir coordinated the event and also spoke about how it is extremely important for young girls to explore different fields of study or their interests so that they can break free from societal pressures and taboos. She also spoke on the importance of education and financial independence of women in society and utilizing the same to generate respect for co-existence.
At the end of the program, a felicitation ceremony was conducted where 16 achievers from the college were felicitated, including eight faculty members as well.
"Save Youth Save Future" Foundation, along with its Chairman Mr. Wajahat Farooq Bhat, has been conducting various seminars and engagement programs through which they regularly interact with the kids and try to inculcate positivity among them. In recent times, the organization has worked very hard in helping underprivileged children and creating platforms and opportunities to help the students build a bright future.
