The “Save Youth Save Future” (SYSF) Foundation organized an engaging and impactful “Youth Parliament” seminar today at Government Girls Higher Secondary School (GHSS), Baramulla. The event aimed to encourage youth leadership, promote education, and inspire constructive civic engagement among students.
The program was graced by a host of esteemed guests, including:

Ms. Anika Nazir – Social Activist and Women’s Wing President, SYSF
The event began with a warm welcome address delivered by Ms. Anika Nazir, who expressed gratitude to all the dignitaries, faculty, and students for their presence and support.
Er. Mehraj Malik delivered the first keynote address, focusing on the transformative power of education and the productive use of the internet. He encouraged students to embrace digital tools and technology to build skills and prepare for the future.
“In today’s fast-evolving world, skill-building is the key. Use the internet as a tool for learning, growth, and empowerment,” he said.
Students actively engaged in the session and responded with enthusiasm during the interactive Q&A.
Mr. Touseef Raina shared his inspirational journey from an ordinary youth to becoming the President of the Municipal Council Baramulla.
“No problem is too big if you approach it with positivity and determination,” he told the students, urging them to remain hopeful and driven in life.
Advocate Sheikh Amir emphasized the importance of youth involvement in political and social activism.
“Whether directly or indirectly, young people must contribute to shaping better leadership and governance for a brighter future,” he noted.
Vice Principal Ms. Nighat Nazir encouraged students to focus on practical skills and extracurricular activities. She also recommended organizing similar programs more frequently as a source of motivation and personal development.
Ms. Anika Nazir, also the founder of the impactful campaign “Taleem Haq Hai Hamara”, led an interactive session with students to help them shed negative thinking and adopt a positive, forward-looking mindset.
She concluded the event by felicitating the top performers from various inter-school competitions and presented a heartfelt vote of thanks, especially acknowledging Principal Mrs. Dalvendar Kaur and the entire GHSS faculty for their cooperation.
Mr. Wajahat Farooq Bhat, Chairman of Save Youth Save Future, continues to lead such youth-centric initiatives across the Kashmir Valley. His vision is to channel the energy of young people toward positive societal contributions, nation-building, and skill development.
