National Women's Day Celebrated at Government Degree College Sopore
On the occasion of National Women’s Day, a special event was held at Government Degree College (GDC), Sopore, to celebrate and honor the achievements of young, talented girls from the region.
The event was graced by Mrs. Shikha Salaria – a noted Educationist, Counsellor, and Artist, who felicitated several promising young women for their contributions in various fields.
Also present at the event was Ms. Anika Nazir, President of the Women’s Wing, Save Youth Save Future (SYSF), who delivered a powerful speech on the role and importance of women in shaping society.
“The development of any country or the world at large is not the sole responsibility of men; women are equally vital partners in building a progressive and inclusive society,” said Ms. Anika Nazir.
The event also featured discussions and reflections from other participants, emphasizing the urgent need to create a social, economic, and political environment rooted in gender equality.
