Book Launch Event – 31st July 2021 | Dak Banglow, Baramulla
Today, the Save Youth Save Future (SYSF) Foundation proudly organized the launch of a remarkable new book titled “Intimacy and Scars Tacit” — written by the talented young author Quratul Ain, an 11th-grade student from the Kashmir Valley.
The event was graced by notable guests including District Information Officer Baramulla, Mudasir Ahmed Chowdery, Zeeshan Khan (KAS), and SYSF Chairman Wajahat Farooq Bhat. The launch was attended by several renowned activists, artists, and community members, all eager to encourage and celebrate Quratul Ain’s courage and literary talent at such a young age.
The book is a profound collection of essays delving into themes of emotion and mental health, topics that are often considered taboo in the local society.
SYSF, through this event, reaffirmed its commitment to promoting the creative voices of the Valley, especially empowering women by providing platforms to showcase their skills and build self-confidence. The Foundation stands firmly against societal norms that view women as inferior, striving instead to uplift and celebrate their contributions.
Also present at the event were Joint Secretary Ishfaq Ahmed Bhat, Coordinators Anika Nazir, Fayaz Ahmed Mir, and Mohammad Maqbool Khan. The program was hosted by Mir Taufeeqa.
At the conclusion of the event, the young author, along with several artists and activists, was honored with a certificate of appreciation.
