There is no shortage of talent among our youngsters. Give them just a little chance and provide the necessary infrastructure—they will outshine the sun.
Ironically, our youth lack what others in different parts of the country take for granted. Few truly care about their concerns and genuine aspirations.
Nevertheless, #SaveYouthSaveFuture, in its humble attempt to make a difference, has curated a practice wicket at Sheeri—a forgotten village in our valley. Now, local youth can practice literally 24×7, hone their cricket skills, and showcase their talents at both local and national levels.
We only wish that our systems and institutions were functional, not dysfunctional, for the betterment of our children and youth. Let’s hope against hope.
