It brings immense pride to share that June 4, 2018, was a remarkable day as J&K Save Youth Save Future held yet another impactful convention at Uri, Baramulla, under the theme:
“The Kashmiri Youth – A Dialogue Within.”
The event was led by Chairman Mr. Wajahat Farooq Bhat and graced by several distinguished guests, including:
Mr. Mafat, Principal, Govt. Higher Secondary School Uri
Mr. Sajad Hassan Mir, General Secretary, J&K Save Youth Save Future
Ms. Kafayat Kazmi
Mr. Inayat Hussain
Along with many other respected personalities
The primary focus of the convention was to address the current challenges faced by Kashmiri youth and to engage in open dialogue with the public and young participants on finding meaningful solutions to the Kashmir issue. The event aimed at inspiring youth to envision a future where Kashmir stands shoulder to shoulder with the rest of the world in peace and progress.
Speakers, including female voices, shed light on how the ongoing conflict and a fragile education system are impacting young minds in the region. There was a strong consensus on the need for community-led efforts to bring positive change.
During the session, a group of young girls courageously voiced their concerns, stating:
"It is unfortunate that even in the 21st century, we are not given equal opportunities to participate in sports. We respectfully request the Chairman to organize a Sports Festival in Uri, where girls too can showcase their talent."
In response, Chairman Mr. Wajahat Farooq Bhat appreciated their courage and commitment. He made a promise to the youth of Uri:
“After Eid, J&K Save Youth Save Future will organize a Sports Festival in Uri, open to everyone, including girls. We are committed to creating equal platforms for all."
The initiative is a step toward a more inclusive, peaceful, and empowered Kashmir. With collective support, this vision can become a reality.
"Hope this initiative will be successful in the near future—with your continued support."
