J&K Save Youth Save Future Organizes Poetry Event "Let Me Speak My Heart" in Baramulla

Today, on 29th April 2018, J&K Save Youth Save Future organized a poetry event titled "Let Me Speak My Heart" for the talented young poets of District Baramulla. The event was held at Kathi Junction, Varmul – Baramulla.

The event was graced by special guests including Mr. Maqbool Ferozi, President of the Writers’ Forum Baramulla, and Mr. Wajahat Farooq Bhat, Chairman of J&K Save Youth Save Future.

During his speech, Mr. Wajahat Farooq Bhat spoke passionately about youth empowerment, encouraging the youth to showcase their talents and to take pride in their cultural and literary heritage. He reminded the audience of the great legacy left by Kashmiri poets such as Sheikh Noor-ud-din Noorani (RA), Lal Ded, and Habba Khatoon.

Mr. Wajahat Farooq Bhat further stated:

“If North and South Korea can sit together to resolve their issues and begin a peaceful dialogue, why can't we? We too must try our best to live peacefully.”

He also made a heartfelt appeal to the governments of India and Pakistan to initiate a peaceful dialogue, especially to address the ongoing issues in Kashmir.

At the conclusion of the event, the participants in the poetry competition were awarded certificates and trophies by Mr. Maqbool Ferozi and Mr. Wajahat Farooq Bhat, appreciating their creativity and courage to express themselves through poetry
