J&K Save Youth Save Future holds Candlelight Protest in Solidarity with Kathua Rape Victim

Today, on Monday, the 16th of April 2018, J&K Save Youth Save Future organized a candlelight protest march at 6:30 PM in solidarity with the Kathua rape victim, Asifa, and other such victims across the country.

The protest began outside the Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Baramulla, and proceeded to Main Chowk Baramulla, where a large number of people from all walks of life participated to show their support and outrage.

Speaking to the gathering, Chairman of J&K Save Youth Save Future, Mr. Wajahat Farooq Bhat, strongly demanded capital punishment for the culprits involved in the heinous crime.

Additionally, Mohammad Shaffi Bhat, Incharge of JK Against Corruption – Kashmir Division, also addressed the gathering, calling for immediate and strict punishment to be delivered within a short time frame.

Mr. Sajad Hassan Mir, General Secretary

Mr. Khalid Manzoor Bhat, Joint Secretary

They all emphasized the need for a fast-track trial in this case to ensure swift justice.

Later, Mr. Wajahat Farooq Bhat extended a heartfelt vote of thanks to all those who participated and showed their support at this important and emotional event.
